If you’re looking for a great brunch restaurant while at the Jersey Shore (the southern NJ one), Saltwater Cafe is a sure-fire way to have an enjoyable weekday or weekend brunch and take in the summer sun. Located in the heart of Cape May, NJ, we’ve been to this place about eight times so far, and we can say with 95% confidence that you won’t leave disappointed.
This place is definitely in our “top ten list” of brunch eateries in the country. One of our favorite menu items is their “Feelin Groovy” and “MeatLover” omelettes, and of course their coffee is always fresh brewed and delicious no matter what the time of day is. We’ve also tried the french toast which was delightful, as well as both their “Green Power” and “Sunrise” smoothies.
Their menu is very diverse, and not only do they offer breakfast all day, but their lunch menu also offers some wonderful classics like bacon cheddar cheeseburger, turkey club, a variety of yummy salads, and much more.
Last but not least, their ambience is absolutely perfect. There is a view of the marina that can be seen from almost any seat, indoor and outdoor seating available brings you closer, and the ocean life artwork is the perfect touch to bring a little bit of the beach to your brunch. Their meal choice of hash browns or fruit is also nice. A lovely brunch meal paired with an always sweet staff makes for a great brunch out with Saltwater Cafe.
